Fishing Rules
• Fishing is strictly by pre-booked permit only through Lake Bookings. Please do not arrive without a ticket.
• All anglers must be in possession of a valid EA fishing license.
• Anglers fish at their own risk. The owner accepts no responsibility for any injury to anglers, or theft/damage to anglers’ property.
• Fishing can be done from any position that is safely accessible – this includes stalking.
• A maximum of 2 rods per angler and rods must not be left unattended at any time or for any reason.
• An appropriate landing net and unhooking mat must always be used.
• Braided main lines or shock leaders are banned.
• Micro-barbed hooks only.
• We reserve the right to conduct rig checks at any point.
• All particle baits, apart from sweet corn, hemp and carp pellets are banned, no trout pellets, peas, beans, nuts.
• No fish to be retained in a keepnet or carp sack at any time, all fish to be returned to the water immediately after capture and photographing.
• Floating baits are permitted if care is taken not to endanger wildlife.
• The use of bait boats or any similar device is banned.
• When returning fish to the water do not carry any fish without the use of a sling, zipped unhooking mat or landing net.
• All fish to be returned to the lake. Anyone found killing fish and/or removing fish will be prosecuted.
• Strictly no fires.
• Swimming and paddling is prohibited. Please DO NOT go in the water.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Take all litter, discarded line and unused bait home or place in the waste bins provided.
• Any infringement of the rules will result in you being asked to leave the fishery immediately, without refund, and you may face a ban.
• These rules are in place to ensure that all anglers can have an enjoyable, safe experience, whilst safeguarding the welfare of our fish. We will not tolerate anti-social, abusive behaviour, excessive consumption of alcohol or loud music. Any person demonstrating such behaviour will be asked to leave the fishery with no refund. We reserve the right to remove any angler/person without prior notice.
